Kanebo 38 Degrees Silk Performance Mascara

I need another mascara like I need a hole in my head, but this one comes highly recommended from my friend Ami. She messaged me this afternoon and said. “You need to get this new mascara that I just got – it’s like some kind of amazing brand from Tokyo.” That was all that I needed to hear and I needed it, of course. I did a quick Google search, and I was sold.

This product is for those whose mascara melts onto their face and smudges, and by the end of the day they look like they’ve been crying or sweating. In a few product descriptions that I’ve read it says it’s great for swimmers – I don’t know too many hard core swimmers that wear mascara while swimming, but maybe it’s for those us of who feel we need to wear a full face of makeup when we go to the gym. It only comes off when it’s splashed with water 38 degrees Celcius or 100.4 degrees Farenheit – just above body temperature. Hence the name, 38 degrees. You can buy it here at the Bliss shop for $30.

For a lesser expensive mascara, Paula, The Cosmetic Cop, picks the Almay One Coat Nourishing Mascara Triple Effect as her choice for best product of the month. She likes the double sided brush – one side for lengthening and the other for volumizing. This mascara retails for $7.99.
