Skin Care from a Vending Machine?

While browsing in Macy’s the other day, I came across what looked like a vending machine that was selling iPods. Hurrying to get the cosmetics department (I was on my lunch hour), I didn’t think much of it, but apparently we’ll be seeing more and more of those vending machines popping up everywhere.

They are from a company called Zoom Systems and the machines will carry products that range in price from $5.99 to $299. The reason why I’m devoting an entire post to these new machines is that they are carrying various skin care lines – Neutrogena and Proactiv Solutions just to name 2. The products will all be housed in a vending machine called “Zoom Spa” and aim to “provide consumers access to the most popular products with a convenient and entertaining shopping experience.”

This idea isn’t targeted to me and my fellow beauty and skin care junkies, however, I guess if you realize at the last second you forgot something, it will come in handy. Still I’m all about looking at the product and its’ ingredients and being able to have a large selection. Somethng about buying skin care from a vending machine just doesn’t seem right to me for some reason. I’m interested to see if this venture succeeds or not.
