How marketing influences which cosmetics we buy – This is such a great article -it even breaks down which brands own which cosmetic lines. For example – if L’Oreal owns Lancome, can you justify buying a Lancome Mascara when you can just go to your local drug store and buy a L’Oreal mascara.

In-store skin scans that diagnose skin problems – An exerpt from the article: “Skin care experts say it’s not just wrinkles that make you look old. A study last month in the journal “Evolution and Human Behavior” found that blotchy skin tone and uneven texture can add 10 to 12 years to a person’s perceived age.” These skin scan machines let you look inside your skin to see what’s really going on so you know how to take preventative measures. Sephora in Chicago has one of these machines, and hopefully more Sephoras across the country will begin installing them.
