The Beauty Bug is in the middle of reading Jean Godfrey-June’s book, Free Gift With Purchase. It’s all about “her improbable in magazines and makeup” – she’s currently the beauty editor of Lucky Magazine. The Beauty Bug came across this little blurb about why beauty products are the best presents and thought it was timely. Here’s what she says:
1. They’re personal, but not too much (so cucumber-mint shower gel – what’s not to like and who’s not to like it?).
2. The person thinks of you every time he or she uses them, which in many cases turns out to be quite often. (I’ve always been a big proponent of giving a man you have a crush on either shampoo or shaving cream; not only will he be reminded of you everyday, but it’ll be at a time when he’s a little dreamy, potentially more impressionable, and, perhaps most critically, naked.)
The Beauty Bug would definitely have to agree – call her biased, but beauty products will make any woman, and some men, extremely happy. Speaking of which, The Beauty Bug was more than happy (she was ecstatic) to receive this new Lancome Holiday Mascara Set for Christmas. The Beauty Bug didn’t even know that such a set existed, but if she did, it definitely would have been on her list. She’s curious as to how this set wasn’t on her radar, but at the same time it made the surprise that much better. Thanks so much Anna – I needed a new Definicils and was anxious to try the Hypnose Mascara, and thanks Lil for the Sephora gift card – that store is my second home.
