Coffeeberry is the new Black

If you picked up your January edition of Allure yet, you’ve already heard the buzz about the new Coffeeberry skin care line set to launch in early February. Coffeeberry is exactly what its name says it is, it’s a red berry that grows on a coffee bush and houses the actual coffee bean.

It’s being recognized for its’ powerful antioxidants properties, and will replace the previously trendy and antioxidant pomegranate (Coffeeberry’s antioxidant power is five times greater than a pomegranates). Allure reports that “The texture and tone of the skin treated with CoffeeBerry extract showed 46 per cent improvement in fine lines and wrinkles, 64 per cent in overall skin smoothness, and 79 per cent in skin hydration.” You’ll be able to buy these new products in doctors offices without a prescription.

I’m predicting that we’ll be hearing a lot about this new ingredient in 2007. The Beauty Bug can’t wait to try and and be part of the craze.

I have known this would happen for years, and I am completely annoyed I did not pursue creating a skincare line using the coffeeberry.
