The Beauty Bug Presents “The Office” – Diana B Body Lotion

1195094917_1195094726_body_lotion_peach-wbg.jpgWhile the actual writers of The Office are on strike (The Beauty Bug is sad that there’s only one new episode left to air), The Beauty Bug’s “office” is still writing, testing and reviewing – Her show will go on. In “The Office” this week, The Beauty Bug and her co-workers tested Diana B body lotions. Diana B body lotions are enriched with Vitamin E, aloe vera, and sugar cane extracts and come in a variety of exotic flavors. Diana’s products are quite popular in the beauty community and have also been featured on Bellasugar and the fabulous Meg’s Makeup.

Here’s the verdicts:

M: “I loved the smell of the Maple Sugar Lychee Nut. It had such a great scent that I didn’t even need to put perfume on. I thought the lotion was very smooth and hydrating.”

P: “I’ve been sampling the “Peach Frangipani” scented lotion and I like it a lot. The scent is fabulous and the lotion is very nice and not greasy at all. The one downside is that the scent is extremely strong and if applied more than once per day it can be overpowering. Otherwise, it’s a very nice lotion.”

B: “I tried the Green Tea Desert Grapefruit scent. While the lotion is very lightweight and has a very pleasant scent, I don’t think it absorbs very well and it left a greasy feeling on my hands. Overall I think it is just mediocre and I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to buy it.”

J: “My lotion was the Green Tea Desert Grapefruit flavor and I really liked it. The smell is light and fresh, not at all overpowering. Although it didn’t make my hands as soft as other thicker moisturizer I do think that it would be a good product to use all over. It’s not sticky and was quickly absorbed into my skin. Overall I would continue to use it.”

A: “I tried the Diana B. “Peach Frangipani” Body Lotion. Generally I don’t like strong fruity scents but was impressed by the almost floral, sweet undertones. However, I did not like the way it made my hands feel chalky after I put it on.”

L: “I loved the Black Fig scent, but I too thought it was just a bit chalky. Even still, I keep it at my desk and like to use it periodically during the day.”

I’ve never heard of this line….will have to check it out. Thanks for the review!

Who carries Diana B? I’ve never heard of it before, and “Green Tea Desert Grapefruit” is making my mouth water. I don’t normally care for scented lotions (I’d rather use an unscented lotion that doesn’t clash with my shampoo and cologne), but I’d at least like to check it out, see whether it’s as yummy as it sounds (even if things seldom are) (sigh)!

  3. The Beauty Bug

The Beauty Bug was recently at Henri Bendel’s and they carry Diana B there – if you’re not near a Bendel’s check Diana’s website.

The packaging looks kind of plain, but if Bendel’s carries it, it must be at least alright. And the scents sound neat… lychee, green tea, frangipani.
